Brightlands Materials Center recently welcomed special guests Aiga Liepina, the ambassador of Latvia, and the co-founders of TerraWaste, Aija Pope and Kristaps Cirulis. The visit highlights the importance of collaboration between industry and government in promoting sustainable practices and creating a better future for all.
The visit began with a kick-off by Eric Appelman, CTO and EVP Business Development at Brightlands Chemelot Campus, who provided an overview of the campus and its business development aspects. This was followed by presentations from various industry experts, including Koen Janssen, Managing Director of Brightlands Materials Center.
Janssen was thrilled to have the opportunity to showcase the contributions that Chemelot and BMC are making to the field of waste management and sustainability. During the afternoon, Janssen gave an introduction to BMC, and Pascal Buskens spoke about light and heat management in solar PV and photonics. The visit concluded with a tour of the Brightlands Materials Center labs, allowing the guests to see firsthand the cutting-edge research being conducted there.
