100% Limburg bike

100% Limburg bike

The 100% Limburg Bike project creates an innovative lightweight racing bike with a consortium of industry and research organisations. The bike is to be customized and tailored to the desires of the future user. Every racing bike is unique and completely personalized. Brightlands Materials Center is using Continuous Fiber Additive Manufacturing technology to develop the custom and lightweight bike lugs. The structural and complexly shaped components are an excellent case for development of Continuous Fiber Additive Manufacturing technology.

The participating parties next to Brightlands Materials Center are CeraCarbon, Mullens Sports & Health Innovations, Belgian Cycling Factory, Eurocarbon, Kembit, Brightlands Chemelot Campus and Chemelot Innovation and Learning Labs (CHILL).
