At the annual PUMA member meeting of the NVC Packaging Centre at the Brightlands Chemelot Campus, Paul van den Heuvel, Senior Program Manager for Circular Packaging at Brightlands Materials Center, shared how the new Brightlands Circular Space helps turn waste streams into high-quality circular packaging solutions.
Currently under construction at the Brightlands Chemelot Campus, this unique facility allows producers and researchers to test and optimize recycling technologies and packaging concepts at semi-industrial scale. According to Van den Heuvel, this is a crucial step in bridging the gap between lab-scale innovation and industrial application: “We need to experiment together – with raw materials, with processes, and with collaboration itself.”
In doing so, Brightlands Circular Space plays a key role in accelerating the transition toward a circular packaging industry.
